'Ello everyone...or should I say Elke (cuz you're the only one who's reading these, haha). Anyways, I made it to Texas alright...no problems at all. But funny thing, I land in San Antonia and then was, "okay, now what? How do I get to Lackland?". So, carrying several heavy bags I make my way to the back, where the USO is located. So as I'm walking down this long hall, it hit's me, BAM!! This was the very same hall I had walked about 5 years or so ago to begin my short Military carear. I looked around and all these memories just came flooding in; the "tip tap tip tap tip tap tip tap, from the T.I.'s (Air Force equivilant to Drill Instructor) boots *shiver*. Not a pleasant sound...j/k. Anyways, the USO let me use a phone; so I was able to make some calls and figure out what I should do next...long story short...I made it to my room alright...made it to my first day of class alright. I've had a pretty busy week...already had my first exam today...PASSED!!
On a side note...it's amusing to see all the "younger generation" Airmen...even though I'm not that far ahead of them...but it's amusing to see how they are...how they react to military things in general...don't worry...they'll get used to it...and if they don't...then they'll get used to it...haha...they have no choice...as long as they stay in..."Shut up and color" is the term I'm looking for here. Anyways, sorry I don't have any pictures...I forgot my camera...I just pretty much brought the bare necessaties with me =] But perhaps I may buy a disposable...we'll see...anyways, I love and miss you all (Elke =P) and hope you have a safe and happy and above all lovely Veterans Day!!
